I have a degree in Metal Smithing and jewelry design from Massachusetts College of Art, have certification by the American Gem Society, have studied the Gemological Institute of America's diamond and colored gemstone courses, and have spent several years working in high-end jewelry sales increasing my own knowledge about the field and jewelry in general. I want to share my knowledge and experience with people to help them make educated, comfortable decisions about jewelry they have or are considering purchasing. I do not guide people to or from stores, but instead I try to give them general information to help them understand more about their options. I do this in a two-fold process, working with people that already have jewelry and would like advice on it, and helping people that are considering purchasing something special. I keep a neutral position when helping people so that they can make their own decision.

General Jewelry Consulting

Have you inherited a collection or have been gathering jewelry over the years? Do you know the best way to store and maintain your collection so that it will last for years to come? Would you like to know more about jewelry and gemstones in general? I can meet individually or with a group to look at what you have questions about and help you to make wise decisions about your jewelry.

I will work with people one on one or we can throw a JEWELRY BOX PARTY ™ where you gather up a bunch of friends to meet in one location for a set amount of hours and I will bring tools to clean and polish jewelry and can advise people about what they have in their jewelry boxes. I charge from $25.00 to $50.00 per hour for my services, but it is a very fun thing for do you and your girlfriends, talk about a girl's night out with a difference!

Purchasing Special Items

I meet with people who seek assistance and information about purchasing a special piece of jewelry, whether it is an engagement ring or a special personal item for you or as an heirloom piece for someone special. There can be a lot of technical information that can get overwhelming or confusing to anyone, or the stores themselves can be intimidating. I want to help demystify the industry and share the basics to help someone make an educated decision about a major purchase in their life. I will take the time to meet with you to explain diamonds and colored gemstone basics to insuring that special item and all the aspects in between. It is a great first step before you buy, sort of a crash education in what to look for and how to go about getting what you really want. This service is a great help to men looking for engagement rings!

Custom Work

I work one on one with clients to design and make an item of their dreams. I can help a person design something that will suit them exactly for what they need.

The custom work I do most often is for wedding bands and items for bridal parties. From the simple and classic (with beautiful hand engraving on the inside) to non-traditional and funky. I work with people to design something that works with their personality.
